Sardina Houses is a Real Estate development for single-family homes of the highest quality, both for their quality architecture and for their construction and eco-efficient technology.
Built in Madrid surroundings, they have been designed for those families looking to live in a special, modern and comfortable house. The construction process was specially overviewed by the technical team to guarantee a great final execution quality, involving first-class crafts in the process.
The project arises by stacking a series of elongated prisms that take advantage of the narrow plot, enhancing the relationship between the house and the garden and playing with the sun, casting shadows, to make life around the houses more pleasant.
These are houses for those who are aware of respect for the environment, who are concerned about the world that we will leave to our children and among their priorities is living in the most sustainable possible way.
Sardinia Houses are equipped with passive architectural elements (that is, they work without consuming energy) such as their ventilated façade, which serve to drastically reduce spending on interior air conditioning, or the rainwater collection system to be able to reuse it in garden irrigation.
The team of architects has put special emphasis on the design and installation of a highly efficient system for air conditioning the homes, adjusting all the parameters as much as possible so that the energy consumption of these homes is as minimal as possible.
From the beginning of the project the architects understood natural light as the main material of the work, making it penetrate every corner of the house. Precisely for this reason, patios are placed right in the heart of each home that fill the spaces designed for the daily life of its inhabitants with light and personality.
To give personality and play with sunlight, the houses are made up of a series of prismatic volumes, which generate shadows, thus reducing the temperature in the immediate surroundings of the house and creating different environments to enjoy the garden.
The materials, equipment, kitchen, facilities, finishes… respond to a careful and elegant design.

OOIIO Architecture
Founded in 2010, OOIIO’s architecture is playful, fun, ironic and fresh. For them, the construction of a project is a joyful event, a magical human process that deserves to be celebrated. That is why their buildings are based on casual approaches.
Creativity is key in the daily life of the OOIIO architecture studio, they frequently use “the link” as a project tool when conceiving their solutions, creating links or metaphorical relationships in their buildings to other things: a rock, artisan traditional ceramics, a windmill, that suddenly become the spark idea to create a new building.
A unique creative method that allows OOIIO to open unexpected paths in architecture.
OOIIO does diagrammatic architecture. Their projects can be explained in a few quick, visceral drawings, making it possible to simplify all the complexity of their constructions in a few strokes on a napkin.
