Description

The apartment emerges from the illusory time warp embedded in the architectural details. Recreated in the living room, den, and bedroom, an original plaster relief detail is suggestive of crown molding. An original traditional baseboard segues abruptly into a quarter-inch reveal that lifts the walls off the floor. The bath fixtures of unlacquered brass are set against Carrara marble. This home is a place at peace with both history and the present.
