DescriptionThe property has been family-owned for 3 generations. BLACK FOREST was built on the foundations of the parents’ and grandparents’ houses and now offers the living space for the 4th and current generation. The topography of the property on the hillside is extreme: bordered by the road and the steeply rising forest to the north, the terrain also falls away sharply to the south. Here an artificially created narrow but long plateau is formed, which stretches from west to east. The new house takes up the virtual contour lines of the location and abstracts them by superimposing the facades of the three storeys in the direction of the view in a polygonal manner. The building is closed on the entrance side to the street. Only after passing through the garden gate, which develops from the homogeneous cladding of the garage doors, does the building gradually begin to open to residents and visitors. From the partially covered entrance courtyard, you can get a first look from the outside into the kitchen and from there to the terrace in front of it on the south-east side. In the bright courtyard you are greeted by a perforated, translucent steel filter with an apparently textile surface, through which you can access the interior of the living room via the front door integrated there. Here on the top floor, the view opens up over the living room, the dining area and the kitchen with fireplace into the valley of the family’s hometown. The upper floor can be experienced as a coherent room flooded with daylight. Free, custom-made built-in components placed in the room structure the room and accommodate the necessary functional requirements. Technical components, the elevator door and access to the guest toilet are covered by room-high solid oak strips. A component that can be found throughout the house on all floors. An oak-covered staircase leads to the ground floor, where you are greeted by daylight from the walk-on glass floors embedded in the floor of the upper floor. The parents’ area with dressing room and bathroom opens onto the garden, which is not visible from the outside. The bathroom and bedroom are designed as a large connected room, separated only by a pane of glass, into which the sun’s rays fall from the east in the morning. The children’s rooms with private bathrooms face south to a shared balcony. The children can access the garden in front of the parents’ area from the balcony. A spacious outdoor staircase creates the connection between the open, partly covered terrace on the upper floor and the garden on the ground floor. It leans against the side of the slope and ends in front of the pond with a waterfall in the east, the patio behind which forms the end of the plateau. From here you can look back at the softly illuminated house in the evening with a glass of wine. …before or after you decide to end the day in the SPA in the basement with sauna and fitness room. Alternatively, the upstream whirlpool is waiting for its purpose … .

In all our projects, we deal intensively with the construction task and the wishes of our clients. From the complex requirements, we develop tailor-made solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. For a harmonious whole, our planning does not end with the building shell, but goes from furniture planning, kitchen and bathroom planning, lighting concept to the design of the outdoor facilities. Thanks to the early involvement of specialist planners and craftsmen, our buildings are at the highest level in terms of design, technology, energy and functionality. Precise cost planning and control as well as on-site construction management are a matter of course for us in every construction process and guarantee a successful project process. In this way, every construction task – single-family house, apartment building or commercial property, conversion or new construction – becomes a tailor-made solution that reflects the individuality and personality of our builders.
