Woodface Acoustic
Woodface Acoustic is a unique wall covering in which fins in PET felt are attached transversely in sheet grooves, which offers enormous added value in terms of acoustics and provides a unique look & feel. In fact, by varying the width and frequency of the felt strips, the absorbent capacity can be determined in relation to the desired sound insulation. In other words, the acoustician can apply his measurement results based on zones that the architect can aesthetically translate with Woodface Acoustic.
In addition to this ‘tailor-made’ solution, the integration of this system is included as a building block of the building. It does not feel like separate elements that are added to improve the acoustics, it is an integral part of the architecture.
By working with veneered sheet material as a base support, the felt strips are placed in the milled openings, making them easy to assemble and dismantle. By means of thermoforming, a profile is pressed onto the end of the fin in the felt itself without adding any material. This way it can be inserted into the milled sheet material. The wooden plates and felt fins are also easy to slide apart when they are recycled.
The range includes 4 basic panels measuring 60 x 240 cm that can be combined with each other.
With Woodface Acoustic we want to respond to the needs of a building in an integrated manner. We speak of an architectural, acoustic interactive interior cladding.
