Yanci Chen

Yanci Chen boasts a progressive career in architecture and is currently a Technical Designer at Gensler in Seattle, a position she has held since 2021. Previously, she worked at SPAN Baukunst – del Campo, Manninger. OG in Ann Arbor in 2020 and interned at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP in Los Angeles in 2019. Yanci obtained her Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2020, after earning her Bachelor of Architecture from Dalian University of Technology in 2018, which included a stint at Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany from 2015 to 2016. Professionally, she became a Registered Architect in Washington, USA in 2023 and joined the American Institute of Architects and NOMA in 2024. Yanci is also LEED GA certified since 2019. Her work has received several accolades, including a Gold Mention at the Young Architects Competitions for the Weihai Art Museum in 2023 and the Muse Design Award. Other honors include honorable mentions at the 2024 Terra Viva Design Competition and the 2024 London Design Awards. Yanci has served as a jury member for the INSPIRELI and Archiol Competitions in 2024 and has been active in exhibitions and presentations, including ‘Architecture of {AI} Language’ at various international venues and digital forums. She has participated in group exhibitions such as “The Dark Side” in London and “Life Reimagined” in California, and has been showcased in New York, Guangzhou, and Virginia.
