The project brief was to fully modernise and personalise outdated preexisting 3-storey mews house built in 1999 as a part of Gated development by Berkley Group in a sought after Warriner Gardens a stone throw from Battersea park; to a young family of four who outgrown their London-Belgravia’s Grosvenor Road apartment.
The property is characteristic with exposed yellow brick, full height & width sliding doors to main living quarters, combined with feature arched and circular windows throughout. Architecturally with typical square feel, mostly tall ceiling, triple height vaulted ceiling to reception and triple height ceiling to a Mud-Powder room. With state of the art helical stair joining 3 floors.
The Mud-Powder room smallest out of four bathrooms sits at the Ground floor adjacent to Entrance, near main social quarters. Its location was the outset to curate a multipurpose, multi-dimensional & contemporary Powder room for guests that unanimously serves as a Wet room to wash off family sausage dog Milo’s paws.
No wonder the vision was to craft space that is functional & warm minimalism, airy, B&W combined with soft earthy tones, elegant and welcoming , fit for living – not just a show home; no chrome, finger-proof. As the overall property scheme.
Everything about this property renovation was calling warmth and the family’s yearning for grounding that forms a safe sanctuary for this young family to grow in the mids of vibrant Central London.
Our client’s testimonial is a testament to exceeding client’s vision and accomplishing our intentions to think big/ not bathroom that is a forgotten space serve purely for its sterile function to determine its final appearance.. There is nothing underwhelming but full of surprises that narrate its own narrative.

By manipulating the layout, moving & reducing door, new niche above the built-in WC for hidden storage & adding a linear drain, we created a clutter-free zone that emphasises the triple-height ceiling with a roof window. Now, nothing detracts from meticulously curated collage of materials, textures & composition: the oversized, exaggerated curved vanity with push-open off-white joinery contrasts with sandy brown Daino Reale marble & a minimalist Gunmetal black spout. Off-white tiles with a simple pattern cover the floor, while all sanitaryware gently hovers above. Two types of tiles, differing in texture and pattern, enhance the space. Peach Fuzz spray-painted built-in storage and black minimalist tube lighting create dual lighting effects. Artisan-applied clay plaster in soft Peach Fuzz encourages light bounce, contrasting with gold trim & dark grey rivet tile.
The result is a harmonious & unpretentious collage that soften the sharp-edged architecture, offering subtle yet rich depth.
