The BDMS Connect Center, designed by dwp | design worldwide partnership, is an architectural marvel nestled in a lush, natural setting. This project embodies the seamless integration of modern infrastructure with the serenity of nature, creating an immersive and unique experience. The design philosophy revolves around organic architecture, incorporating natural elements, flowing lines, and sustainable materials. The centre’s architecture prioritises sustainability, aesthetics, and functionality, blending the building effortlessly into its surroundings. Lush green spaces and landscaped gardens are integrated throughout, providing a refreshing atmosphere for leisurely walks, outdoor gatherings, and relaxation. Indoor spaces maximise connectivity with the outdoors through large windows, open-air courtyards, and terraces, offering panoramic views and a seamless transition between inside and out. Interiors feature earthy tones, natural textures, and organic shapes, with elements like wooden walls, water features, and natural lighting contributing to a calming ambiance. Special features, such as a chandelier inspired by the rainforest and unique carpet patterns on each floor, add to the centre’s distinctive charm. The BDMS Connect Center is designed as a multi-layered journey through a forest, with each floor representing a different layer of the ecosystem. The Forest Floor, reflected in the Reception Lobby, Pre-Function, and Exhibition areas, uses organic materials to create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere that fosters tranquillity. The Understorey layer, home to the Grand Ballroom and VIP Lounge, mirrors the sheltered layer of the forest with smaller trees and shrubs, offering a peaceful and extraordinary experience. The Canopy layer, representing the uppermost part of the forest, enhances creativity and productivity in the Creative Rooms, Pre-Function, Makeup Room, and Lecturer Room with its calming natural atmosphere. The Emergent layer, where the tallest trees reach for the sky, creates a dramatic visual experience in the Junior Ballroom, Creative Rooms, Pre-Function, and Terrace Bar, promoting focus and a sense of wonder. The BDMS Connect Center is more than just a meeting space; it is a sanctuary that blends modern design with the tranquillity of nature.
