Ray is an electric kettle designed for the young consumer to allow consumer to make coffee on the go. Ray is inspired by the divergence of the Sun ray running across in the dark space. It highlights the straight line of the pouring spout. The handle has a sharper profile and the size of lid is contrast to build for a finer grip.

The brief is to look into the current electric kettle and question if there are any ways to design a portable kettle. One that focuses on sustainability, and hopes to only heat up the amount of water needed each cycle.

Research and problem solving: I observed that during each boil, users sometime continues to reboil after each cycle. The reason is that there will always be an excess amount, remaining amount of water.
