“The Flying Elephant” court depicts the royalty and traditionalism in a modern way. The idea was to cater to both tourists as well as business traveler that this city center hotel is designed for. The glass sky light and the glass facade of this atrium creates a dramatic visual experience throughout the day. In the evening this atrium transforms itself into a social space with local folk artist, performers and artifact sellers entertaining guests while they enjoy high tea/beverages. The corridors around this atrium are designed as art galleries depicting the pictures of this historic region.
